The Grace Prep Basketball teams were busy Friday and Saturday competing in the Tyler All Saints Varsity Tournament, various divisions of the PCA Hoops Tournaments, as well as hosting a home contest.

The varsity boys finished 3-1 at the Tyler All Saints Tournament, falling 50-58 to the host Trojans in the championship game. The boys JV team battled back from a first round loss in the PCA Hoops Tournament to win a pair on Saturday en route to capturing the consolation championship title with a 51-38 win over Victory Baptist.

The junior high teams also competed in the PCA tournament. The boys A team took a pair of W’s home on Friday night. The wins sent them into Saturday’s semifinals, but they came up short against Grapevine Faith. The B team won their first game on Saturday morning to get to the consolation semis. However, they were outgunned by Trinity Christian-Cedar Hill. The girls team was on the short end of a tough game versus Newman Academy-Arlington Friday night to end their weekend.

The varsity girls hosted Houston Lutheran South Friday night, but fell 37-67.

All teams are back in action this week, beginning with the junior high boys Monday night at Fort Worth Christian.
