Job Title: Elementary Assistant Principal
Reports to: Principal
Location: 3300 West I-20 Frontage Road Arlington, TX
Primary Purpose:
To utilize the platform, professional connections, experience, expertise, responsibilities, and duties of an Elementary Assistant Principal to mold and guide college worthy character witnesses for Christ. Provide leadership and manage systems supporting spiritual leadership, campus support, curriculum, instruction, professional learning, and students and parental supports. Ensure that the development and delivery of curriculum and instructional programs are effective and efficient, incorporate campus goals, and supports student achievement.
Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required of this job:
Education:
– Bachelor’s Degree or higher (preferably in education)
– Educational Certification or Development
Special Knowledge/Skills:
– Christian leader
– Creative visionary
– Strong leadership, communication, and relational skills
– Knowledge of curriculum and instructional strategies
– Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
– Ability to campus support operations
– Understand university model education
Experience:
– Five years of teaching experience
– Educational leadership experience (preferred)
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
The responsibilities and duties below are representative of daily/annual scope of this job:
Spiritual Leader:
– Abide and promote Grace Preparatory Academy’s doctrine of spiritual beliefs.
– Provide sound spiritual guidance from a Biblical worldview perspective.
– Provide spiritual guidance from a curriculum and instructional leadership perspective as needed.
Campus Support:
– Promote a Christian, positive, care climate for learning.
– Articulate schools’ mission and vision.
– Articulate the intricacies of university model education.
– Assist in the development, communication, and implementation of professional learning.
– Assist with master schedule.
– Communicate effectively with students, staff, parents, and all stakeholders.
– Supervise elementary operations in absence of principal or head of school.
– Demonstrate awareness of school-community needs and initiate activities to meet those needs.
– Use appropriate and effective techniques to encourage community and parental involvement.
– Assist in planning daily school activities.
– Work effectively with all campus personnel.
– Work with school personnel and outside stakeholders to obtain resources for students or school growth.
Curriculum and Instructional Leadership:
– Assist in curriculum development, audit, and management plan.
– Provide instructional coaching in various instructional strategies.
– Align instruction and/or presentation with Biblical perspective.
– Build instructional leadership capacity throughout the school as related to best practices in teaching and learning.
Student Leadership:
– Ensure students are adequately supervised during non-instructional hours.
– Assist in developing a student discipline management plan that supports positive student behavior.
– Ensure that school rules are uniformly observed and that student discipline is appropriate and equitable.
– Conduct conferences with students and parents on school-related issues.
– Counsel individuals and small groups on being spiritual leaders.
Parental Support:
– Consult parents, teachers, administrators, and all stakeholders to enhance their work with students.
– Support parents in throughout university model education.
– Use an effective referral process to help students and others use special programs and services.
Professional:
– Comply with all district and campus routines and regulations.
– Maintain a positive and effective relationship with supervisors.
– Communicate effectively with colleagues, students, and parents.
– Model behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible.
– Participate in professional development to improve skills related to job assignments.
– Other duties as assigned.

Job Title: Academic/College Counselor
Reports to: Principal

To utilize the platform, professional connections, experience, expertise, responsibilities, and duties of an Academic and College Coordinator to mold and guide college-worthy character witnesses for Christ.
Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required of this job:
Education:
– Bachelor’s Degree or higher (preferably in education)
Special Knowledge/Skills:
– Christian leader
– Strong leadership, communication, and relational skills
– Knowledge of of counseling procedures, student course auditing, career development, dual credit, and college entrance requirements
– Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
– Ability to instruct students and provide academic guidance
Experience:
– Two years of teaching experience
– High School Counselor experience (preferred)
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
The responsibilities and duties below are representative of daily/annual scope of this job:
Spiritual Leader:
– Abide and promote Grace Preparatory Academy’s doctrine of spiritual beliefs.
– Provide sound spiritual guidance from a Biblical worldview perspective.
– Provide spiritual guidance from an academic planning perspective as needed.
Instructional Specialist:
– Provide instruction and guidance on the college and/or career search process.
– Align instruction and/or presentation with Biblical perspective.
Academic Guidance:
– Teach school developmental guidance curriculum to students, parents, faculty, and staff.
– Help teachers incorporate guidance-related information into existing curriculum.
– Provide guidance to individuals and groups of students to develop education plans and career awareness.
– Counsel individuals and small groups.
Parental Support:
– Consult parents, teachers, administrators, and all stakeholders to enhance their work with students.
– Work with school personnel and outside stakeholders to obtain academic/financial guidance or resources for students.
– Use an effective referral process to help students and others use special programs and services.
Advanced Academic Responsibilities:
– Assist Assistant Principal with AP programs.
– Understand the criteria and process for dual credit enrollment.
– Communicate dual credit opportunities to students.
– Assist with the alignment of campus and college courses.
– Collaborate with Dallas Baptist University to develop dual credit opportunities.
Post-Secondary Coordinator:
– Prepare and promote a college and career readiness culture.
– Understand college entrance requirements.
– Understand and provide career guidance.
– Assist with coordinating and interpretation of post-secondary assessments required for college and/or career readiness (TSI, PSAT, ACT, SAT, etc.).
– Assist with the development of a college going culture by facilitating such activities as college visits, career fairs, and guest speakers.
– Coordinate college field trips.
– Coordinate college fair.
– Serve as a financial aid bridge to resources.
Academic Program Management:
– Plan school guidance and counseling programs to ensure that they meet identified needs.
– Develop and coordinate a continuing evaluation of guidance program and make changes based on findings.
– Understand the master schedule process and work side-by-side with the principal and assistant principal to schedule students in a variety of different schedules to opportunity.
– Coordinate GPA Course Fair
– Coordinate the course request process
– Maintain academic resources (course description guide, etc.).
– Compile, maintain, and file all required physical and computerized reports, records, and other documents associated with academic progress or advancement.
– Monitor student progress to provide support to families, teachers, student support staff, and all stakeholders.
Professional:
