History Night is the Week

History Night is Thursday, April 3. Every student in PK-6 has a part in this special night. Kindergarten through fourth grade will share their group presentations in the gym. Upon completion of these special presentations, the fifth and sixth graders will present their Living History Museum in rooms around the building. Please bring your coins: the students will come alive when you drop a coin into their jar. We love that this is an all school event, so please be sure to join us for all of the History Night fun as we celebrate the importance of learning from our past and leading boldly into the future.
All Students:
* Students will report to campus fully dressed and ready to go at 5:45 pm.
* Please make sure that your kiddos have gone to the restroom before reporting.
PK – 4th Grade Students:
* PK through fourth graders will be dropped off in their classrooms.
* You will stay in your classroom with your teachers until everyone is present. Then you will go with your teachers to wait in the activity center until it is your turn.
* After your class presentation: PK will go sit with their parents and all other grades will sit with their teachers on the sides of the gym for the rest of the presentations.
5th and 6th Grade Students:
* Fifth and sixth graders will check in with a teacher in the auditorium. Students need to be checked into their rooms by 5:45 PM. From there, parents can go to the gym to watch the first part of the program. The students will come in with their NHS volunteers to watch the program.
* Please make sure that you arrive fully dressed in costume and with your props.
* When the NHS students take you to the rooms, please place your artifacts and any props in your room and leave them in your spot. Then you will go to the gym with your NHS volunteer to watch most of the other presentations in the side bleachers.
* Mrs. Chase will dismiss you to head back to your assigned rooms with your NHS volunteer before Kindergarten starts their presentation to get in the zone and be ready to go.
Note to Parents:
* Parents of younger students, please make sure that they have gone to the restroom before reporting.
* PK parents should save their child a seat for when their group presentation is over.
* Please stay for the entirety of the program as leaving when your child’s grade is finished is very distracting.
* All money raised through the living history museum will go toward fulfilling classroom needs. Thank you for your donation! : )
