3rd-6th Chapel Recap
🚪 November Elementary Chapel – Jesus Is the Door!
This month in Elementary Chapel, we continued exploring the seven “I AM” statements of Jesus with our November focus: “I Am the Door!”
📖 November Memory Verse — John 10:9 (ERV)
“I am the door. The person who enters through me will be saved. They will be able to come in and go out and find everything they need.”
Our 3rd–6th graders explored the story of Noah’s Ark and learned how God provided a door into the ark where Noah and his family could find safety from the flood. Just as God provided a way of rescue for Noah, He has provided a way for us to experience salvation and a relationship with Him through Jesus!
Through an interactive door object lesson, we talked about how simply knowing about a door isn’t the same as walking through it. In the same way, Jesus invites us to do more than just know ABOUT Him—He invites us to KNOW Him personally and put our TRUST in Him!
We focused on three important truths:
- Jesus is the Door to Salvation – Through Him, we receive forgiveness and eternal life.
- Jesus is the Door to a Relationship with God – We can know Him, talk to Him, and walk with Him every day.
- Jesus is the Door to True Security – Even when life is difficult, we can trust that Jesus is always with us.
Keep the Conversation Going at Home!
- Why was the door of Noah’s ark so important? How does that remind us of Jesus?
- What is the difference between knowing ABOUT Jesus and actually TRUSTING Him?
- When you feel worried or afraid, how can remembering that Jesus is always with you bring you peace?
Our big takeaway this month was simple but powerful: Jesus doesn’t just SHOW us the way to God…He IS the way!
Thank you for partnering with us as we help our students grow in their understanding of who Jesus is and what it means to follow Him!
